Homemade Video Games

The boys went down to play in the electronics lab. They came back upstairs with some highly crafted video games.

Luke: Hey, Sef! You just blew up my guy.

Luke: KaPow! I just got *your* guy.

Seth: Nice, shot, Luke!

Luke: Beep! Beep! Beep! Sef, I'm going to get another one of your guys!

Seth: Okay. You win. Wanna play again?

And that's really what happened. I do not make these things up.

Luke's Puzzle

Luke was supposed to be working on a puzzle. However, since I was taking pictures of Eli, like this:

and this:

he decided I needed to take his picture, too.

"Hey, Mommy! Look at me!"

"Take a picture of me doing this!"

"Take another one!"

Okay, Luke. Those are great. Now go work on your puzzle.

He headed towards his fort to find his puzzle and decided to scale the side wall.

"Take a picture of this!"

"Now take this one!"

"Take one of me doing this!"

"Now this!"

"Take one of me doing this!"

"And this! Mommy take one of me doing this!"

Luke, those are extremely entertaining. Its time to get to work. Finish your puzzle so we can play UNO.

"Okay...but take a picture of me doing my puzzle."

More Fun Times in School

We generally have lots of fun while we're doing school.

"Hey, Seth! What's 5 times 4?"

"Why its 20, of course," he says rather nonchalantly as he sticks his head out of the fort.

"What's 9 times 8?"

"41!" yells a hiding Luke. "No, Luke," Seth says, giggling, "Its 72."

"Hey, Luke, what on EARTH are you doing over there?"

"I'm riding in my ship, Sef."

"What's 3 times 3?" I try to yell loudly enough for them to hear me over their giggles.

"74!" yells a confident Luke.
"Luke, that is incorrect!" laughs Seth. "It's 9."

"Nuh uh, Sef. Its 74."

Our review of multiplication facts continued in this manner for a while.

Seth: Ahhhhh! I'm falling!
Luke: What's the next question, Mommy?

Seth: Uh...Can someone help me?
Luke: I'll help you, Sef! the answer is 97!

Seth: Luke, you are so funny!

Toys look different...

when you're looking down on them from above.

"Look, Ma! One Hand!"

Meanwhile...

Luke has decided that Eli's floor gym makes a great fort for doing his school work.

Things they do when I'm upstairs...

As I was uploading pictures, I found the following:

These pictures crack me up! Both of the boys have been itching to play with Eli's new toys. It looks like Luke found a way to get to them! I'm wondering if Seth has been in there, too...

New Trick

Eli started pulling up a few weeks ago. Seth was SO excited when he saw him do it. He started laughing and jumping up and down and yelling, "Mommy! Get the camera! I can't believe he's doing that!" His reaction was really funny. I got the camera and he ran to grab the video camera.

I'm hoping to pull the video off the camera soon. Seth's commentary about Eli's new skill was hilarious!

Eli was quite proud of himself, as well.

He's really enjoying his new teether.

Missing: Crunchy Puff

Eli is missing a crunchy puff. Can you help him find it?
