An Average Trip to Home Depot

We told the boys we were going to Home Depot, and next thing we knew, they were all loaded in the car and buckled.  They really like Home Depot.

Untitled

Did you know you can be anything you want to be when you're there?  It's true.

You can steer your own gondola.

Be a guard at Buckingham Palace.

Untitled

Walk a tight rope.

Untitled

Ninja Warriors!

Untitled

You can even be one of King Arthur's knights.

Untitled

You can be a land surveyor, too.

Untitled

And you can hope that one of your brothers will give you a stick, even though Mommy told them not to.

Spring Break!

We had some great weather in April, so we decided to take a two week break from school.  I wanted to go outside and enjoy the weather, but the boys were perfectly content staying inside.

Most mornings, Eli was able to convince a brother to read a book to him.

The boys also enjoyed being couch potatoes.

Here's the oldest potato:

And the second oldest potato:

I was finally able to convince them that the park would be a great place to go, but Eli wasn't so sure we should go.

Untitled

"Mommy, we can't leave.  This place is a wreck!  I need to clean it."

And off he went to get the vacuum cleaner.

Untitled

"Hmmm.  There appears to be a problem with my cleaning apparatus."

Untitled

"There.  That ought to fix it."  (He's southern.)

Untitled

He cleaned until there was nothing left to be cleaned, and then he was ready to enjoy himself at the park.

It was a sunny day, so Luke wore his shades.

Untitled

Seth did, too.

Untitled

We played Hide-and-Seek.

Untitled

"Seth, where are you?"

Untitled

"Luke, are you up there?"

We played on the swings.

Untitled

We ate some leaves.

Untitled

Then we went home.

That's pretty much what we did every day of Spring Break.  It was great.  And, thanks to Eli, the house was always tidy when we arrived home.

Grammar with Seth

Seth was diligently working on his grammar

when he came across this sentence in his grammar book:

We've seen his name in his math book before, but this was the first time it was in his grammar book!

15 Months Old!

Well,  since Eli is 18 months old, I thought it was about time to post some 15 month old pictures.  Here they are!
